Norse Atlantic to Launch London Gatwick–Phuket Nonstop This Winter, Expanding UK–Thailand Program

Norse Atlantic Airways announced on June 22, 2026 that it will launch three-times-weekly nonstop service between London Gatwick Airport (LGW) and Phuket International Airport (HKT) as part of its winter 2026/27 schedule starting December 2026, operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The new Gatwick–Phuket route adds to Norse's growing UK–Thailand presence: the carrier already operates Gatwick–Bangkok and will also increase Manchester–Bangkok to four weekly flights for winter. In Scandinavia, Norse is simultaneously boosting Oslo–Bangkok to five weekly, Oslo–Phuket to two weekly, Stockholm–Bangkok to five weekly, and Stockholm–Phuket to two weekly, according to Economy Class & Beyond.

The London Gatwick–Phuket corridor is currently served only by TUI Airways on an irregular seasonal basis, according to OAG Schedules Analyser data cited by Aviation Week. Norse's entry offers a scheduled, year-round budget alternative.

"The additional flights reinforce Thailand's position as one of the most popular destinations across Norse Atlantic's network and reflect Norse's continued focus on deploying capacity where customer satisfaction and demand are strongest," the airline said as reported by Economy Class & Beyond.

The winter 2026/27 expansion is enabled by the return of an additional Boeing 787-9 from a lease. Norse confirmed the route on its official website and Instagram channel on June 19, 2026.
