Jet2 (LS) has added Tunisia to its summer 2027 network for the first time, with flights from Birmingham Airport (BHX) to Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport (NBE) commencing May 1, 2027. The Birmingham service will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, running through October 30, 2027. Jet2 simultaneously announced Tunisia service from East Midlands (weekly Saturdays from May 1), Leeds Bradford (weekly Saturdays from May 1), Manchester (Tue/Fri from May 7), and London Stansted (Wed/Sun from May 2).
The announcement, made on June 19, 2026, marks Jet2's debut in Tunisia — a destination that recorded a 119% increase in UK visitors since 2019. The carrier cited strong demand from customers and independent travel agents as the primary driver. CEO Steve Heapy described Tunisia as offering "year-round sunshine, rich culture, and fantastic value."
Jet2holidays customers flying from Birmingham will have access to three- to five-star properties across six Tunisian resort areas: Port el Kantaoui, Skanes, Mahdia, Sousse, Yasmine Hammamet, and Hammamet. The Enfidha-Hammamet airport is approximately 60 km from the resort hub of Sousse and 80 km from Tunis.
Fakhri Khalisi, acting UK director at the Tunisian National Tourist Office, described the Jet2 entry as "a significant milestone" that would strengthen Tunisia's position as a leading Mediterranean destination. The routes bring Jet2's Summer 2027 portfolio to more than 70 destinations, and Tunisia joins a recent wave of new additions including Hurghada, Sharm El-Sheikh, and Kavala, Greece.
