Delta Air Lines announced on July 17, 2026, that it will launch nonstop service between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila starting March 28, 2027, making it the first US carrier to offer a nonstop from the US mainland to the Philippines.
The route uses Airbus A350-900 aircraft configured with four cabin products: Delta One, Premium Select, Delta Comfort, and Main Cabin. Service begins at three times weekly on March 28, 2027, increasing to daily from June 7, 2027, according to Business Travel News. Outbound flight DL181 departs LAX at 11:50 p.m. and arrives in Manila at 5:30 a.m. two days later, covering the distance in 14 hours and 40 minutes; the return DL180 departs Manila at 7:40 a.m. and lands in Los Angeles in 13 hours and 25 minutes, per AeronauticsMagazine.
Delta previously served Manila via Seoul Incheon and Tokyo Narita before suspending all Philippine operations in 2021. Philippine Airlines currently holds the only LAX-MNL nonstop; United Airlines separately serves Manila nonstop from San Francisco. Doug Webster, chief operations officer of Los Angeles World Airports, said LAX is "proud to welcome Delta's new nonstop service to Manila" citing the region's large Filipino community.
The route benefits from Delta's joint venture with Korean Air, together connecting to more than 60 destinations across Asia, per Simple Flying.
