Alaska Airlines announced on July 15, 2026, that it will launch once-weekly nonstop service between Honolulu Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) and Spokane International Airport (GEG) starting December 19, 2026, using Boeing 737 aircraft. The Saturday service runs through April 17, 2027.
The route will be the only nonstop connection between Hawaii and eastern Washington state. Alaska said the service provides convenient onward connections to Hawaii's neighboring islands and targets demand from the broader Inland Northwest region covering eastern Washington, northern Idaho, and western Montana, per Business Travel News.
Spokane, Washington's second-largest city, has not previously had a year-round or seasonal nonstop Hawaii link. Alaska will be the sole operator on the route.
The Spokane launch is part of a coordinated winter Hawaiian expansion alongside Alaska's new daily Honolulu-Boise service (launching December 17) and increased Honolulu-Las Vegas frequencies. The company's Hawaiian Airlines brand simultaneously confirmed it will not resume its seasonal Honolulu-Auckland service, redirecting network growth toward domestic Mountain West and Pacific Northwest markets rather than transpacific leisure routes, per Aviation Week.
