Taxis are readily available at the designated taxi stand directly in front of the airport terminal. The journey to Salzburg's city center takes approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Fares are metered, and you can expect to pay around €15-€25 for a trip to the city center.
Several major car rental companies operate at Salzburg Airport, including Sixt, Hertz, Europcar, and Avis. The car rental center is located on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park, which is connected to the terminal via a short, covered walkway. Booking in advance is highly recommended, especially during peak seasons.
The airport is well-connected by public buses (Obus). Lines 2 and 10 run frequently (every 10-20 minutes) and connect the airport to the city center and the main train station (Salzburg Hauptbahnhof). The journey takes about 20-25 minutes. The bus stop is located directly outside the terminal, and tickets can be purchased from machines at the stop or from the driver.
