Lufthansa CityLine (ICAO: CLH) is a German regional airline and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, specializing in short and medium-haul flights across Europe.
Lufthansa CityLine traces its origins to Ostfriesische Lufttaxi (OLT), a regional air taxi service founded in 1958 in Emden, Germany. The company underwent several name changes, becoming DLT Luftverkehrsgesellschaft mbH in 1974, before being fully acquired by Lufthansa and rebranded as Lufthansa CityLine in March 1992. The airline's corporate headquarters are located on the grounds of Munich Airport, which also serves as one of its main hubs, alongside Frankfurt Airport.
The airline operates a fleet of approximately 39 aircraft, including Bombardier CRJ900 regional jets and Airbus A319-100 narrowbodies. While historically operating Embraer 190s, some Airbus A320neos have been integrated into its operations, and A321P2F freighter aircraft were operated for Lufthansa Cargo before being transferred in October 2024. Lufthansa CityLine's route network focuses on a dense domestic and intra-European network, providing short-haul feeder services to connect regional European destinations with Lufthansa's primary hubs. As of 2024, it operated scheduled passenger services to 85 domestic and European destinations.
Lufthansa CityLine is not a member of an airline alliance. The airline offers Economy Class and Business Class cabins on its flights. In Business Class on European flights, the adjacent middle seat is typically kept free to provide additional comfort and space for passengers.
