Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), the principal international airport of the Netherlands, serves as a major European hub for passengers and cargo. Extensive bus networks, ride-sharing services, and taxis also provide reliable connections to the city and surrounding regions.

As a base for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Transavia, and Martinair, Schiphol handles a high volume of international and European flights. It is also a significant European hub for partner airlines like Delta Air Lines. Annually, it serves tens of millions of passengers, connecting them to hundreds of destinations worldwide. This large, single terminal is divided into three main departure halls, which lead to various piers and boarding gates.
