Jazeera Airways opened reservations on 24 May 2026 for nonstop service between Kuwait International Airport (KWI) Terminal 5 and London Luton Airport (LTN), with inaugural flights scheduled for 8 July 2026 (AeroRoutes). The route initially operates four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, scaling to daily service from 1 August 2026. The seasonal schedule closes 21 September 2026. All services use Airbus A320neo aircraft.
Outbound flight J9001 departs Kuwait at 09:10, arriving Luton at 14:00 (6 hours 50 minutes). Return flight J9002 departs Luton at 14:45, arriving Kuwait at 23:05 (6 hours 20 minutes). Round-trip fares start from KD239 (approximately US$774) (Airways Magazine). Upon launch, the route will be both Jazeera's longest-ever scheduled service and London Luton's longest route, adding Kuwait as a fifth Middle Eastern destination at the airport (Simple Flying).
The announcement follows Jazeera's launch of Kuwait–Milan Bergamo service in late May 2026 — its first Italian route — as part of a stated push to extend its low-cost narrowbody network deeper into Europe. The carrier previously operated from Kuwait to London Gatwick in 2019 before suspending service. The resumption of Kuwait International Airport operations from late April 2026, following a regional airspace suspension linked to earlier conflict, enabled both the Milan Bergamo and London Luton expansions (Connecting Travel).
