Official licensed black taxis are available 24/7 from the rank directly outside the terminal building. All taxis accept card payments. Ride-sharing services like Uber also operate from a designated pickup area in the premium set down car park.
Major car rental companies, including Avis, Hertz, Europcar, and Sixt, have desks located in the Arrivals area. The car rental centre, where vehicles are collected and returned, is a short walk from the terminal. Pre-booking is recommended for best rates.
The airport is connected to Birmingham International Railway Station via a free 'Air-Rail Link' monorail, which takes 2 minutes. The station offers frequent train services to Birmingham New Street (10-15 mins), London, and other major UK cities. Local buses (e.g., X1 to Birmingham & Coventry) and national coaches (National Express, Megabus) also depart from the airport terminal.
This is a great airport to fly from, good people good facilities and good choice of scheduled and charter flights. Airport not to blame for luggage delays they do not provide luggage staff the airlines do.
