Breeze Airways launched seasonal nonstop service between Bradley International Airport, Hartford (BDL) in Connecticut and Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) in Kentucky on 29 May 2026, operating twice weekly on the Airbus A220-300. The route is a brand-new city pair with no prior airline having offered direct nonstop service between the two cities.
Hartford's BDL airport confirmed the launch via its official channels, framing it as a "homestretch to Louisville" tied to the city's peak summer tourism season (Hartford Airport / FlyBDL). Simple Flying identified the route in its weekly roundup of 15 new U.S. services launching between 22–29 May 2026, noting Hartford–Louisville as one of two Breeze launches on 29 May — alongside Raleigh/Durham–Orange County (Simple Flying). The route also appears on Breeze's official route sitemap at flybreeze.com.
The new service strengthens Bradley International's growing Breeze network, which connects the greater Hartford region to Florida, the Southeast, and now the Midwest. Louisville is a significant UPS logistics hub, a bourbon tourism destination, and home to major healthcare employers, offering Breeze a blend of leisure and business demand. The A220-300 features two-by-two seating with no middle seats.
