Korean Air will begin daily nonstop flights between Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN) and Hiroshima Airport (HIJ) on December 23, 2026, marking the airline's first-ever scheduled service to Hiroshima, according to AeroRoutes.

The route will be operated by Airbus A321neo aircraft. Flight KE2183 departs Seoul Incheon at 10:35 and arrives in Hiroshima at 12:15; return flight KE2184 departs Hiroshima at 13:25 and lands in Seoul at 15:25, as confirmed by AviationA2Z and TravelWires.

Hiroshima is one of western Japan's major cities, drawing tourism through the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the UNESCO-listed Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima island. Beyond leisure, the city is a significant industrial hub — home to Mazda's headquarters and major operations for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, JFE Steel and Micron Technology — underpinning substantial corporate travel demand.

The new service expands Korean Air's regional Japan network, which has recently added increased frequencies to Aomori and Okayama alongside existing daily service to Niigata and Komatsu. Hiroshima is the latest push into destinations beyond Japan's main metropolitan gateways of Tokyo and Osaka. Sanyo Shinkansen connections through Hiroshima's catchment area are expected to broaden the effective demand pool for the daily service.
