United Airlines launched daily nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN) on 4 September 2026 on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The westbound scheduled block time is approaching 16 hours, Aviation Week reports. The westbound flight departs Newark at 10:35, arriving Incheon at 15:20 the next day (approximately 15 hours 45 minutes); the return departs Seoul in the late afternoon and reaches Newark the same evening in approximately 13 hours 45 minutes, aided by tailwinds, per AeroCorner.

United says the service is the only US airline nonstop between the New York and Newark area and South Korea, complementing its existing twice-daily San Francisco–Incheon operation. On the New York–Seoul corridor, United competes against Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, and Air Premia, which all operate from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Aviation Week notes.

The route was announced in United's October 2025 summer 2026 schedule, subject to government approval, and is operated year-round. United describes itself as the world's largest airline by available seat miles, flying to more than 160 international destinations, per its August 2026 PR Newswire release.
