Aer Lingus launched nonstop service between Dublin Airport (DUB) and Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) on May 25, 2026 — Memorial Day — marking the first-ever scheduled transatlantic link between Ireland and the Steel City.
Flights operate four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, year-round. The route is served by the Airbus A321LR, configured with 16 Business Class and 168 Economy Class seats. Flight EI81 departs Dublin at 4:10 PM local time, arriving Pittsburgh at 7:10 PM; the return EI80 departs Pittsburgh at 8:40 PM and arrives Dublin at 8:40 AM the following morning, for a westbound block time of approximately eight hours.
The A321LR's range of roughly 4,000 nautical miles has been the linchpin of Aer Lingus' secondary-U.S.-city strategy. Pittsburgh joins Cleveland, Indianapolis, Nashville, Hartford, and Raleigh-Durham as mid-size markets the Irish carrier has opened from Dublin. All passengers benefit from U.S. Customs and Border Protection pre-clearance at Dublin, allowing arrivals in Pittsburgh as domestic travelers.
"With convenient connectivity through Dublin, Aer Lingus continues to make it easier for customers to plan summer journeys on both sides of the Atlantic," said Reid Moody, the airline's Chief Strategy & Planning Officer. Pittsburgh also serves as a transit gateway: Aer Lingus connects onward to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Edinburgh, London, Paris, and Rome, among others, from Dublin.
