The service is available for booking, subject to regulatory approval. United says it will be the only U.S. carrier offering nonstop service between the United States and Luxembourg, per RTL Today.
The A321XLR configuration on this route features 20 Polaris Business Class suites and 12 Premium Plus seats, with complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi for MileagePlus members, according to Paperjam.
The Newark–Luxembourg route is one of ten new cities United is adding to its network for 2027, which the airline has described as its largest international expansion in history. OAG Schedules Analyser data cited by Aviation Week shows approximately 63,450 two-way seats on the route during summer 2027, across 423 flights. United's EWR European network is growing from 35 destinations in summer 2026 to 43 in summer 2027, with two-way capacity rising approximately 12.2%. The new destinations alongside Luxembourg include Marseille, Ibiza, Valencia, Terceira, Ljubljana, Olbia, Catania, Toulouse, and Okinawa.
