The official taxi service provider is UBER. You can book a ride at the UBER kiosks located in the arrivals halls of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, or use the mobile app. Other ride-sharing services like Bolt are also widely available. Pick-up points are clearly marked outside the terminals.
A variety of international and local car rental companies operate at the airport, including Sixt, Hertz, Avis, Budget, and Rent plus. Their offices are located on the ground floor of the Parking C building, which is connected to Terminal 2. It is advisable to book a car in advance online for better rates.
The airport is connected to the city's metro network by several bus lines. The most popular options are Bus 119 to Nádraží Veleslavín (Metro Line A - Green) for the city center, and Bus 100 to Zličín (Metro Line B - Yellow). The Airport Express (AE) bus offers a direct, non-stop service to the Main Train Station (Hlavní nádraží). Public transport tickets can be purchased from counters in the arrivals halls, vending machines at the bus stops, or via the PID Lítačka mobile app.
Václav Havel Airport Prague is the international airport of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. The airport was founded in 1937, when it replaced the Kbely Airport. It was reconstructed and extended in 1956, 1968, 1997, and 2006. In 2012, it was renamed after the last president of Czechoslovakia and the first president of the Czech Republic, Václav Havel. It is located at the edge of the Prague-Ruzyně area, next to Kněževes village, 12 km west of the centre of Prague and 12 km southeast of the city of Kladno.
In 2018 it served around 17 million passengers. It serves as a hub for Czech Airlines and Smartwings, and as a base for Ryanair and Eurowings.
I was so pleasantly surprised by this airport. It's bright and clean, and the staff are very nice. A solid modern airport with an easy to follow layout - I had a 50-minute international connection and it was more than enough time to pass passport control and security and make it to the gate.
