Official airport taxis are available directly outside the arrivals hall. To ensure availability, especially for late flights, it is recommended to book your taxi in advance.
Several major car rental companies have desks located inside the terminal building in the arrivals hall. Options include Avis, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, and Sixt.
Shuttle buses (navettes) are the primary public transport option. They provide connections to the main train stations in both Metz and Nancy. The journey to either city center takes approximately 30-35 minutes. There is no train station directly at the airport.
According to Navigraph, this landing/runway is 3050 m / 10.007' !

1. Metz Frescaty is LFSF. I'm not sure that it is closed. The air base is closed but I believe there are still flying clubs there.
2. Nancy Essey is not closed. It is fully active with a nice ILS approach: LFSN. Simply there is no more commercial liners.
Thank you. Here's what the Wikipedia article says about LFJL: "It opened to the public on October 28, 1991 and replaced Nancy-Essey and Metz-Frescaty airports."
