Shannon Airport (KEZF) is a public-use general aviation airport located two miles south of Fredericksburg, Virginia, United States. Although privately owned by Shannon Airport LLC, it is open to the public and serves general aviation needs.
The airport features two runways: one asphalt runway (06/24) measuring 2,999 feet by 100 feet, and a grass/turf crosswind runway (15/33) measuring 1,300 feet by 100 feet. It offers full and self-serve fuel services, a flight school, aircraft maintenance, and amenities such as a renovated terminal with a pilot planning room, Wi-Fi, a restaurant (Robin's Nest Cafe), and a pilot/gift shop.
Historically, Shannon Airport was founded in October 1950 by Sidney L. Shannon Jr., honoring his father, Sidney Shannon Sr., an early investor in Eastern Airlines. The airport's grounds are historically significant as a major site of the Battle of Fredericksburg during the Civil War, with artifacts from the battle displayed in the terminal and at the on-site Shannon Air Museum. The museum houses a collection of rare "Golden Age" aircraft, including the last surviving Vultee V-1A.
