The site of the former airfield has been completely redeveloped and is no longer recognizable as an aviation facility. It is now occupied by the 'MA6NITUDE' logistics and industrial park, a major commercial development in Middlewich. The land where the runway and hangars once stood is now covered by large warehouses, distribution centers, access roads, and other industrial infrastructure.

Sproston Green Airfield was a private, unlicensed grass airstrip that primarily served the general aviation community. It was a popular and well-regarded base for private pilots, flying clubs, and particularly for microlight aircraft. The airfield consisted of a single grass runway (approximately 700 meters long) and basic hangar facilities. It did not have any significant military history; its importance was as a local hub for recreational flying and flight training in the Cheshire area, known for its friendly and informal atmosphere.
