Taxis

Official, metered taxis are available 24/7 at designated taxi stands outside the arrivals halls of Terminal 2 (T2) and Terminal 3 (T3). Follow airport signs to the official queue to avoid unauthorized drivers. The trip to downtown Chongqing (e.g., Jiefangbei) takes approximately 40-60 minutes. It is advisable to have your destination address written in Chinese.

Rental Cars

Car rental services from international and local companies like Avis, Hertz, eHi Car Services, and Shenzhou Car Rental are available. Service counters can be found in the arrivals halls of both T2 and T3. Important: Foreign drivers must possess a valid Chinese driver's license to rent a car, as an International Driving Permit (IDP) alone is not recognized for driving in China.

Public Transportation

The airport is well-integrated with the city's public transit system.

- Chongqing Rail Transit (Metro): Terminal 3 is served by CRT Line 10, while Terminal 2 is served by Line 3. The two lines are connected, offering convenient access to the entire city metro network, including major railway stations and commercial districts.

- Airport Express Bus: Multiple shuttle bus lines operate from both terminals, providing direct connections to key locations across Chongqing, such as Jiefangbei, Chongqing North Railway Station, and Shapingba.

- Long-distance Bus: A long-distance bus station at the airport offers coach services to numerous cities in the surrounding regions.
