Taxis

Official taxi stands are located outside the arrivals halls of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Taxis are metered, and a trip to downtown Nanjing (Xinjiekou area) typically takes 40-60 minutes, costing around CNY 100-150, depending on traffic. Night surcharges and expressway tolls may apply. It is helpful to have your destination address written in Chinese.

Rental Cars

Car rental services from international and local companies like Avis, Hertz, eHi Car Services, and Shenzhou Car Rental are available at the airport. Counters are located in the arrivals hall. Note that foreign visitors must possess a valid Chinese driver's license to rent a car; an International Driving Permit (IDP) alone is generally not sufficient.

Public Transportation

The airport is well-connected by public transit.

- Metro: The Airport Line (S1) connects Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 directly to Nanjing South Railway Station in approximately 35-40 minutes. From there, you can transfer to other metro lines (Line 1, Line 3) to reach the city center and other destinations.

- Airport Shuttle Bus: Multiple shuttle bus lines provide service to major areas within Nanjing (including Nanjing Railway Station and Xinjiekou) and to nearby cities. Buses are a cost-effective option, with ticket counters located in the arrivals hall.
