Taxis are available 24/7 from the Taxi Station, located outside the Arrivals Hall. Taxis are color-coded based on their service area: Red Taxis serve all destinations throughout Hong Kong (except southern Lantau Island), Green Taxis serve the New Territories, and Blue Taxis serve Lantau Island. Fares are metered, with additional charges for tolls and luggage.
Car rental services from international companies like Avis and Hertz are available at the airport. Their service counters are located in the Arrivals Hall of Terminal 1. Pre-booking is recommended, and drivers typically need a valid international driving permit or a recognized overseas license.
The airport is highly connected by public transit. The Airport Express train is the fastest way to the city center, reaching Central in approximately 24 minutes. An extensive network of public buses offers a more economical option, with 'A' routes providing direct service to various districts, 'E' routes serving surrounding towns, and 'N' routes for overnight travel. Coaches and limousines for direct transport to major hotels are also available for hire in the Arrivals Hall.

This is truly an international airport...one of my top 5 of the world.
First time through HKG heading to Macau for business.
XingR: Kai Tak is in the system now:

I've been here a number rof times as a passenger, usually transiitioning to ground transpo for trips into mainland China. One of the best airports in the world for transiting visitors .. food, shopping, great transport down town, etc.
I welcomed the recent addition of Meigs, hopefully we might also see the "old" VHHH (Kai Tak) with the famous "Checkerboard" approach to runway 13? Been there and done that too.
