The airport is connected to the city's Trensurb (surface metro) system via the free Aeromóvel people mover. The Aeromóvel departs from Terminal 1 and takes you directly to the 'Aeroporto' Trensurb station in about two minutes. From there, the train provides a fast connection to downtown Porto Alegre and neighboring cities. City bus lines also serve the airport.
