Taxis and remises (private car services) are readily available directly outside the airport's arrivals hall. The ride to the city center is short, typically lasting 10-15 minutes, making it a quick and convenient option to reach your hotel.
Several major car rental companies, including Hertz, Avis, and Localiza, have service desks inside the airport terminal. Renting a car is an excellent choice for exploring Tierra del Fuego National Park and the surrounding region independently. Booking in advance is highly recommended, especially during the peak summer season.
There is no direct public bus service connecting the airport to the city center. However, private shuttle bus services (minibuses) are available. These shuttles offer a cost-effective shared ride, dropping passengers off at various hotels and locations in Ushuaia. You can find their counters in the arrivals hall.
I have been to SAWH Twice. The runway 25 approach is stunning! Try grabbing seat A of any row! It is crazy beautiful.
