Taxi stands are conveniently located outside the arrival halls of both the International and Domestic terminals. You can find several types of taxis, including standard (regular), deluxe (mobeom), and jumbo vans for larger groups or luggage. Fares are metered, and a late-night surcharge (typically 20-40%) applies between 10 PM and 4 AM. Payment is accepted via cash, credit card, or the local T-money transportation card.
Major car rental companies, including Lotte Rent-a-Car and SK Rent-a-Car, have service desks on the first floor of the Domestic Terminal. To rent a car, you will generally need a valid International Driving Permit (IDP), your passport, a driver's license from your home country valid for at least one year, and a credit card for the deposit. Booking in advance, especially during peak seasons, is highly recommended.
Gimpo Airport is exceptionally well-connected to the public transit network.
- Subway: The airport is a major subway hub served by five lines: the Airport Railroad Express (AREX) for a quick connection to Incheon International Airport and Seoul Station; Seoul Subway Line 5 and Line 9, which provide extensive access across Seoul; the Gimpo Goldline; and the Seohae Line.
- Buses: A wide variety of buses depart from stops outside the terminals. These include local city buses, comfortable airport limousine buses serving major hotels and districts in Seoul, and inter-city buses connecting to numerous cities throughout South Korea.
Now it is mostly hub for domestic and partly international
