Official airport taxis are available 24/7 at designated stands outside the arrivals hall, operating on fixed rates to various destinations in Tehran. Ride-hailing apps like Snapp and Tapsi are also a popular and often more affordable option; you can book a ride using their mobile applications upon arrival. It's advisable to have local currency (Iranian Rial) for payment.
Several car rental companies, including local agencies and some international affiliates, have service desks located in the arrivals hall. A range of vehicles is available, but it is highly recommended to book in advance online. Renters will typically need a valid passport, an International Driving Permit (IDP), and a credit card for the deposit.
The airport is connected to the city by the Tehran Metro. The 'Imam Khomeini Airport' station is on a branch of Line 1 (Red Line), providing a direct and cost-effective link to the city's subway network. Note that the metro does not run 24/7. Additionally, there are shuttle buses that connect the airport to major points in Tehran, such as Azadi Square and the Beyhaghi Bus Terminal, offering a budget-friendly alternative.
On 8 January 2020, during a time of military tension with the U.S., Iran accidentally shot down a passenger jet departing IKA with 176 people on board (including 57 Canadians).

the designs is not suitable but this is a big airport and Iranian peoples are very good peoples

It's the best airport in IRAN. I think it is very modern airport. Many airlines have flight to IKA.
the airport looks old, but they built it in several years.
it doesn't have the clear signs and it is very boring, because of the color or shape maybe... the problem is the colors used for the airport is not suitable in my idea.
