Taxis and rideshare services are readily available. Official taxi ranks are located directly outside the international arrivals hall. Rideshare services like Uber, Ola, and Zoomy have a dedicated pick-up zone just a short walk from the terminal exits.
Numerous car rental companies operate from the airport. Service desks for major brands like Avis, Budget, Hertz, Europcar, and Thrifty are located inside the international arrivals hall. The rental car parking area is situated directly opposite the main terminal building.
The Metro public bus service connects the airport to Christchurch city centre. Key routes include Route 3 (Airport to Sumner) and Route 29 (Airport to City). The bus stop is located at the northern end of the terminal, outside the international arrivals hall. Fares can be paid with cash or a Metrocard.

An awesome airport for seeing lots of USAF aircraft involved in Operation Deep Freeze regular visitors throughout summer are C-17, C-5 and C-130.
A good airport in a lovely city.
