Licensed taxis and rideshare services (like Uber and Ola) are available 24/7. Designated ranks are located outside the arrivals area at both the international and domestic terminals. The trip to Auckland's city center typically takes 30-60 minutes, depending on traffic.
Numerous international and local car rental companies operate at the airport. On-site operators have service desks in the arrivals hall of both terminals. Several off-site companies provide free shuttle services to their depots. Booking in advance is highly recommended.
The AirportLink bus provides a frequent service connecting the airport terminals to the Puhinui Train Station. From there, you can transfer to the train network to reach Britomart Transport Centre in downtown Auckland. An AT HOP card is required for travel and can be purchased at the airport.
Many of the taxiway identifiers are painted on the concrete, and this makes them difficult to read, especially at night or when it is raining.
