Air Tahiti is the sole commercial airline serving the airport, providing scheduled flights that connect Tatakoto with other atolls in the Tuamotus and, ultimately, to Faa'a International Airport (PPT) in Tahiti. Flight schedules are infrequent, often with only one or two flights per week, and routes may include stops at other nearby islands. Passenger volume is low, reflecting the atoll's small population.

Facilities at Tatakoto Airport are minimal, consistent with its role as a remote island airstrip. The terminal is a simple, often open-air structure providing basic shelter, a small check-in counter for Air Tahiti, and limited seating.
