Taxis are available at a designated rank located just outside the arrivals terminal. As Mykonos has a limited number of taxis, there can be long queues, especially during the peak summer season. Fares to major destinations like Mykonos Town (Chora) are generally regulated, but it is always best to confirm the estimated cost with the driver before your trip. Private transfer services can also be pre-booked for a more seamless experience.
Numerous car rental agencies, including major international brands (like Hertz, Avis, Sixt) and local Greek companies, have service desks inside the airport's arrivals hall. Options range from small cars to scooters and ATVs. It is highly recommended to book your vehicle well in advance, particularly for travel between June and September, as demand is extremely high. An International Driving Permit (IDP) is often required for non-EU license holders.
A public bus service (KTEL) provides a connection from the airport to the Fabrika bus station in Mykonos Town (Chora). The bus stop is situated directly outside the terminal building. From Fabrika, you can connect to other bus lines that serve the island's popular beaches and villages. The bus schedule is seasonal and much more frequent during the summer. Tickets are typically purchased in cash directly from the driver.
