🇺🇸 Livermore Municipal Airport

The Livermore Municipal Airport (LVK/KLVK) is a publicly owned and operated airport located 3 miles west of Livermore, California, on 644 acres of land. It is not a private strip, ranch airport, or agricultural strip.

• Runways: The airport has two asphalt runways:
• Runway 07L/25R: 5,253 x 100 feet (1601 x 30 meters)
• Runway 07R/25L: 2,699 x 75 feet (823 x 23 meters)
• Elevation: The surveyed elevation is 399 feet MSL.
• Control Tower: The airport has a control tower.
• Services: Available services include fuel (100LL and Jet-A), major airframe and engine repair, bottled and bulk oxygen, avionics, charter service, pilot instruction, aircraft rental, and aircraft sales.

• Ownership and Funding: The City of Livermore owns and operates the airport as an enterprise fund, meaning it is user-funded through leases and fuel sales, not general taxpayer monies. Federal grant funds from the FAA, also user-funded through aviation taxes, contribute to airfield improvements.
• History: The airport was activated in December 1965, and the current terminal building was constructed in 1969. The Livermore City Council adopted a resolution in 2010 prohibiting runway extensions.
