Several local taxi companies serve the airport. Taxis are typically available outside the baggage claim area. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft also operate at ELM. It is often recommended to pre-book a ride, especially for late arrivals.
Major car rental agencies are conveniently located inside the terminal, with counters directly across from the baggage claim carousels. Companies available on-site include Avis, Budget, Enterprise, and Hertz. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
There is no direct public bus service to the Elmira Corning Regional Airport terminal. To connect with the local CTran (Chemung County Transit System) bus network, travelers would need to use a taxi or a rideshare service.
KELM is a great airport, had the oppertunity of landing on rwy 10 which has a really cool approach passing by the mountain before turning for final. Tower is super nice and the airport is very clean. A great stop to take a break !
I landed here to visit the Wings of Eagles Museum. Decent museum. For me, the highlight was a rare Douglas BTD (a project scrapped in favor of the Skyraider).
