Taxis are readily available outside the arrivals terminal. It is standard practice to agree on the fare with the driver before starting your journey, as meters are not always used. The trip to the town of Victoria Falls typically takes about 20-25 minutes. Pre-booked airport transfers through hotels or tour operators are also a very common and reliable option.
Several car rental companies have desks located in the arrivals hall of the airport, including international brands like Avis, Budget, and Europcar, alongside local providers. It is highly recommended to book a vehicle in advance, especially during peak tourist season, to ensure availability. Driving in Zimbabwe is on the left-hand side of the road.
There is no scheduled public bus or train service that directly connects Victoria Falls International Airport to the town center. The primary modes of transport are taxis, rental cars, or pre-arranged shuttle services. Many hotels and lodges offer their own shuttle services for guests, which must be arranged prior to arrival.
Not the airport's fault and it arrived the next day! Due to the crisis in Zimbabwe the officer had do hand write all the details, not very efficient but very friendly and helpful
I had 450 pictures of my Africa trip in the camera and I put it in my backpack and unbelievably it was gone when the backpack was returned. Can not believe it but it actually happened. Need to monitor who is handling the luggage when it is out of site.
