Taxis are available 24/7 directly in front of the terminals. The journey to Nuremberg's city center takes approximately 15-20 minutes, and the fare is typically around €25-€30.
Major international car rental companies such as Sixt, Avis, Europcar, and Hertz have service desks located in the arrivals hall. The rental car center for vehicle pickup and return is a short walk from the terminal.
The U2 subway line (U-Bahn) offers a direct connection from the airport to the city's main train station (Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof) in about 12-15 minutes. Trains run approximately every 10 minutes during the day. Bus lines 30 and 33 also serve the airport, connecting to other parts of the city.
Nuremberg Airport is the international airport of the Franconian metropolitan area of Nuremberg and the second-busiest airport in Bavaria after Munich Airport. With about 4.1 million passengers handled in 2019, it is Germany's 10th busiest airport. It is located approximately 5 km north of Nuremberg's city centre and offers flights within Germany as well as to European metropolitan and leisure destinations, especially along the Mediterranean Sea, on the Canary Islands and in Egypt.
Thanks for sharing the right frequencies. I live near EDDN and watch the airplanes every day and use my flighttracker (https://da-oben.de/flugradar-militaer-und-zivilluftfahrt-flugverfolger/).
I checked the frequencies against the AIP, they looked quite OK. Only I removed the FIS - it was, confusingly, called an AFIS :( - because it is useless on a controlled airport like this one.
If you have better information, please provide it.
Please correct the frequencies or take them out.
