Taxis are readily available outside the main terminal building. The two primary companies are City Cab and Aurora Taxi. The trip to downtown Yellowknife typically takes about 10 minutes.
Car rental counters for major agencies like National, Budget, and Hertz are located inside the airport terminal. Pre-booking is strongly recommended, especially during peak aurora viewing and summer seasons.
There is no direct public city bus service to the Yellowknife Airport terminal. However, many local hotels provide their own shuttle services for guests; it is recommended to arrange this with your accommodation in advance.
I flew to this airport weekly in 09/10. Many fond memories of the QK staff.
