Land's Field

Land's Field was a small, private general aviation airport. It was owned and operated by an individual, L.M. Land. The airfield featured a single unpaved turf runway, designated 18/36, which was initially 2,600 feet long and later documented as 3,000 feet. Its operations were limited to private aircraft, likely for personal recreational use and potentially agricultural purposes, which is common in this rural area of the Florida Panhandle. It held no major commercial or military significance and served only its private owner and any permitted users.

There are no known plans or prospects for reopening Land's Field. The land is privately held, and the nearby Marianna Municipal Airport (KMAI) provides comprehensive services for the region's general aviation traffic, making the reopening of this small, private strip both unlikely and unnecessary.
