The airport features a single asphalt runway, Runway 12/30, measuring 6,350 feet long by 100 feet wide (1,935 x 30 meters). It is equipped with medium intensity runway lighting (MIRL), precision approach path indicators (PAPI), and an Instrument Landing System (ILS) approach to Runway 30.
KOPN serves various aviation activities, including recreational flying, agricultural spraying, corporate and business jet operations, police/law enforcement, ultralight and experimental aircraft, and skydiving. The airport has a full-service Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) offering maintenance, fuel (100LL and Jet-A), and a 3,000-square-foot terminal building. Opened in July 1994, it holds historical significance as the first airport in Georgia built entirely from the ground up in over two decades, conceived to support local industry and trade.
