Mankato Regional Airport (IATA: MKT, ICAO: KMKT) serves Mankato, US.

Mankato Regional Airport (KMKT (MKT)) is a public-use airport owned by the City of Mankato, located five miles northeast of the central business district of Mankato, Minnesota, United States. It is not a private ranch airstrip, agricultural strip, or personal-use airport.

The airport covers 900 acres and features two runways:

  • Runway 15/33: 6,600 x 100 ft (2,012 x 30 m) with a concrete, grooved surface. This runway is suitable for small, medium, and large aircraft up to Boeing 737 or Airbus A320 sizes and is equipped with Instrument Landing System (ILS), GPS, and VOR approaches.
  • Runway 04/22: 4,000 x 75 ft (1,219 x 23 m) with an asphalt surface. It is suitable for small and medium aircraft and has GPS approaches.

Mankato Regional Airport serves various purposes, including general aviation, air taxi services, business travel, charter services, military/government operations, and recreation. It is a significant center for flight training, hosting Minnesota State University's aviation program, and is home to North Star Aviation, a Fixed-Base Operator (FBO). The Mayo Clinic Life Flight also maintains a base at the airport. The airport is notably the second busiest in Minnesota, based on the number of takeoffs and touchdowns annually.

Historically, the airport was relocated to its current site in 1969-1970. While it previously had scheduled commercial service by North Central Airlines until 1969 and temporary helicopter service in 1969-1970, commercial air service is not currently a priority. A major expansion project in 2007 included the reconstruction and enlargement of Runway 15/33. In 2020, Air Force One, a Boeing C-32, landed at Mankato Regional Airport.
