🇺🇸 New Century AirCenter Airport

New Century AirCenter (KIXD/JCI) is a publicly owned general aviation airport located four miles southwest of Olathe, Kansas, on 2,600 acres of land,. It does not have scheduled commercial service.

• Runway 18/36: 7,339 x 150 feet, in good condition with high-intensity edge lighting.

• Historical Significance: The airport opened as Naval Air Station Olathe on October 1, 1942, and served various naval air reserve and technical training functions, including during the Korean War. It was decommissioned in 1969 and acquired by Johnson County in 1973, becoming the Johnson County Industrial Airport before being renamed New Century AirCenter in 1994.
