Terre Haute Regional Airport, also known as Hulman Field (KHUF (HUF)), is a civil-military public airport situated in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana, approximately six miles east of the city center.

Type of Facility and Operations: Categorized as a general aviation facility, the airport supports a diverse range of operations including general aviation, military activities, and university aviation programs. It features a 24-hour FAA control tower and provides multiple precision approaches. The airport is utilized for private flights, military operations, including unmanned systems, and is home to top-flight university aviation programs.

Notable Features or History: Originally named Hulman Field, the airport's groundbreaking occurred in 1943 on 638 acres donated by businessman Anton "Tony" Hulman Jr., owner of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It was dedicated on October 3, 1944. Since 1954, it has been home to the 181st Intelligence Wing of the Indiana Air National Guard, with its enclave known as Hulman Field Air National Guard Base. The airport covers 1,475 acres and has two runways: Runway 5/23, which is 9,021 feet long with an asphalt surface, and Runway 14/32, which is 7,200 feet long with an asphalt/concrete surface. The primary runway is notable as one of the longest in the state. Indiana State University utilizes Hulman Field for its aviation and top-ranked Unmanned Systems programs. The airport's name was changed in 1998 from Hulman Regional Airport to Terre Haute International Airport – Hulman Field, in part due to a USPS contractor using it as a hub.

Current Status: Terre Haute Regional Airport is currently operational. It continues to serve as a hub for general aviation, military training, and academic aviation programs, with no reported operational issues. The airport offers modern amenities and ample free parking.
