The Fitchburg Municipal Airport (KFIT) is a publicly owned and operated general aviation airport located three miles southeast of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, on 376 acres of land. It is open to the public and has been operational since April 1940.
The airport features a 5001 x 100-foot asphalt runway (Runway 14/32), which is grooved and in excellent condition. While it serves all small airplanes, it can also accommodate some larger aircraft with wingspans less than 79 feet. Services available include fuel (100LL and Jet A+), major airframe and engine repair, avionics, glider service, pilot instruction, and aircraft rental. The airport does not have a control tower. Wildlife is present on and in the vicinity of the airport.
