The airport features one asphalt runway, designated 13/31, measuring 5,768 by 100 feet (1,758 x 30 m), with an elevation of 808 feet (246 m) above mean sea level. It is equipped with a precision instrument landing system (ILS).
KFFC is primarily a general aviation facility with no scheduled commercial service. Its uses include private and business aviation, flight training, air cargo, and various other aviation activities. Several aviation businesses operate on-site, including flight schools, aircraft maintenance, and private jet charter services. The National Weather Service's Atlanta forecast office is also located at the airport.
Historically, the airport was founded in 1968 by Joel Cowan, a developer of Peachtree City, and was named Falcon Field in honor of the Atlanta Falcons. It is owned and operated by the Peachtree City Airport Authority and serves as a significant economic driver for the region.
