Addington Field / Elizabethtown Regional Airport (KEKX (EKX)) is a public-use airport located four nautical miles (7 km) west of the central business district of Elizabethtown, in Hardin County, Kentucky, United States. The Elizabethtown Airport Board owns and manages the facility.
The airport primarily serves general aviation, and also accommodates military operations and air taxi services. Parachute/skydiving operations are regularly conducted at the airfield. Its single asphalt runway, designated 5/23, measures 6,001 feet (1,829 meters) in length and 100 feet in width, with an elevation of 776 feet (236 meters) above sea level. A Fixed Base Operator (FBO), Elizabethtown Flying Services, Inc., provides refueling, aircraft rental, maintenance, and avionics services.
Addington Field opened in 1982. While it briefly offered commercial airline service in the late 1980s with carriers like Delta Connection and Piedmont Commuter, there is no current scheduled commercial service. The airport's name was officially changed to Addington Field / Elizabethtown Regional Airport in 2007, though the FAA still recognizes it as Addington Field.
