🇺🇸 Dover Air Force Base

Dover Air Force Base (KDOV) is a United States Air Force (USAF) base located southeast of Dover, Delaware, under the operational control of Air Mobility Command (AMC). It serves as a major Department of Defense air freight terminal.

Notable Features and History:

• Construction began in March 1941, and the facility opened on December 17, 1941, shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor, and was converted to military use within weeks. It was redesignated Dover Air Force Base on January 13, 1948.
