The airport features a single asphalt runway, Runway 18/36, which measures 4,000 by 75 feet (1,219 by 23 meters). Facilities include a fixed-base operator (FBO) offering self-serve 100LL and Jet A fuel, tiedowns, lounges, and courtesy cars. The airport was activated in March 1976, replacing an earlier Carmi Municipal Airport that existed between 1965 and 1973. As of March 2021, it handled around 13,500 aircraft operations annually, exclusively general aviation.
