🇺🇸 Chehalis Centralia Airport

The Chehalis Centralia Airport (KCLS (CLS)) is a city-owned public-use airport located one mile (1.6 km) west of Chehalis, Washington, in Lewis County.

It features one asphalt/concrete runway, 16/34, measuring 5,000 by 140 feet (1,524 m × 43 m). The airport is an uncontrolled field without an air traffic control tower.

Known uses include general aviation, pilot training and certification, aircraft rental, business and corporate travel, and various other activities such as air cargo, aerial inspections, and medical air transport. There is also weekend glider activity during spring, summer, and early fall. Historically, the airport, originally known as Donahoe Field and dedicated in 1927, was seized for military use during World War II as a training facility and later served as a hub for West Coast Airlines from the mid-1940s to the late 1950s, though it no longer has scheduled commercial service. In 2021, it was selected as a beta-test site for electric aircraft in Washington state, with further expansion plans (CHAISE project) for renewable energy and new aviation technology beginning in 2024.
