Columbus Municipal Airport (KBAK (CLU)) is a public airport located three miles north of Columbus, in Bartholomew County, Indiana, United States. It is owned by the City of Columbus.

Type of Facility and Operations: Columbus Municipal Airport is a civil public-use airport primarily serving general aviation. In 2005, 91% of its aircraft operations were general aviation, with 9% military. The airport features a control tower that operates from 06:30 to 22:00 local time. It is not an Airport of Entry and does not offer customs services. The airport covers 2,000 acres (810 ha) and has two concrete runways: Runway 5/23, measuring 6,400 by 150 feet (1,951 x 46 m), and Runway 14/32, measuring 5,000 by 100 feet (1,524 x 30 m). Both runways are lighted.

Notable Features or History: The airport occupies the historical site of the World War II Atterbury Army Airfield and the Cold War-era Bakalar Air Force Base. It served as the host base for the 434th Troop Carrier Wing from 1949 to 1952 and again from 1953 to 1969. A notable feature is the Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum, which is also located at the airport. While most U.S. airports use the same three-letter identifier for the FAA and IATA, Columbus Municipal Airport is designated BAK by the FAA and CLU by the IATA.

Current Status: As of 2015, the airport had 77 aircraft based there, including single-engine, multi-engine, jet, helicopter, glider, and ultra-light aircraft. The airport operates year-round from 06:00 to 20:00 local time, with overtime available by arrangement with the Fixed Base Operator (FBO). Airspace classification is Class D when the control tower is active and Class G at other times.
