Marana Regional Airport is primarily used for general aviation, hosting a variety of operations including private and corporate jets, flight training, aerobatic activity, and high and low-level parachute training. Historically, the airport was built in 1943, and after being sold by the military, it was acquired by Pima County in 1973 before being purchased by the Town of Marana in 1999.
