Naples Municipal Airport (IATA: APF, ICAO: KAPF) serves Naples, US.

Naples Airport (IATA: APF, ICAO: KAPF), formerly known as Naples Municipal Airport, is a public-use airport located two nautical miles northeast of the central business district of Naples, Florida, in Collier County. It is owned by the Naples Airport Authority.

Type of Facility and Operations: Naples Airport is primarily a general aviation facility, serving private, corporate, and recreational aviation. It hosts flight schools, air charter operators, car rental agencies, and various corporate and non-aviation businesses. The airport also serves as a central location for public services, including fire/rescue, mosquito control, and the Collier County Sheriff's Aviation Unit. As of 2025, one airline, JSX, offers limited scheduled passenger service. The airport handled 113,137 aircraft operations in fiscal year 2021–2022, with 85.3% being general aviation. It features two asphalt paved runways (05/23 at 6,600 feet and 14/32 at 5,000 feet) and one turf runway (SW/NE at 1,850 feet).

Notable Features and History: The airport's history dates back to 1943 when it was established as Naples Army Airfield, a military airfield during World War II, used for pilot training. After the war, it transitioned to civilian control and became a public airport in 1953. The Florida State Legislature created the independent Naples Airport Authority in 1969 to manage its operations.

Naples Airport is recognized for its close proximity to the city center and its "boutique" approach to service. It houses a Museum of Military Memorabilia, showcasing exhibits from the Second World War era. The airport maintains a "good neighbor" policy with strict noise control, including a voluntary nighttime curfew from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. It was also notable as the first airport to prohibit Stage 1 and 2 jets under 75,000 pounds and limits all aircraft to a maximum gross weight of 75,000 pounds (with exceptions for public agencies and emergencies). In 2012, it was named the General Aviation Airport of the Year by the Florida Department of Transportation.

Current Status: Naples Airport (KAPF) currently operates as a public general aviation airport, owned by the Naples Airport Authority. It is home to nearly 400 based aircraft and records approximately 119,000 annual operations as of 2024. The airport provides diverse services, including flight training, aircraft maintenance, air ambulance operations, and U.S. Customs facilities for international general aviation arrivals. It operates with a single passenger terminal for both arrivals and departures.
