Type of Facility and Operations: The airport serves as a hub for local aviation clubs, crop dusting firms, and a Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) air base that supports fire-fighting efforts. Occasional military aircraft also utilize the facility. A significant function of the airport is hosting the Horsham Aeromedical Transfer Station, which includes two ambulance bays and provides services for patients from Horsham and surrounding districts.
Notable Features and History: The terminal building at Horsham Airport is known as the "Wade Memorial Terminal." Since 1967, the Horsham Flying Club has annually hosted "Horsham Week," a gliding competition, at the airport. In 2021, the airport underwent a $211,000 upgrade, which included runway pavement reconstruction, new guidance lighting, and the installation of a new backup power generator.
