There are no formal car rental agencies at Tioman Airport or on the island. The road network is very limited and rugged, with many areas only accessible by boat or jungle trail. Some locals may offer informal motorcycle or scooter rentals in the main village of Tekek.
No public bus system or other scheduled land transport exists on Tioman Island. The primary mode of 'public' transit for getting between different villages and beaches is the sea taxi (water taxi), which are small boats that operate between the main jetties.
SKS Airways has plans to start SZB TOD flights before end 2019
It appears impossible (1 March 2014) to book flights(April-May 2014) between SZB(Subang) and TOD, or SIN(Singapore) /XSP(Seletar) and TOD for any dates, so it seems Berjaya Air has discontinued its service. It would be very convenient to know if this is a permanent thing, and to know whether another carrier is likely to take up those routes.
